Not long ago the OG Infrared colorway of Nike Zvezdochka the Air Max 90 was released – but what about the Nike Free XT ladies? Returning this October is Original women’s colorway of the Nike Air Max 90 in White, Asian Concord, and Laser Pink; you might remember these releasing during the titanic History of Air of late 2005 although these did in fact did not sell particularly well and became available at considerable markdowns. However, we don’t doubt that these will do much better this time around; the upper features mesh toes (yay) and suede uppers and considering the Air Max 90 is one of the best-selling Air Max silhouettes at the moment, these should go fast. Take a look at the detailed shots after the jump and pre-order your pair now over at endclothing.
There has never been an ‘era’ during which the Vans model by that same name didn’t play a key role in the Off the Wall lineup, so expect plenty of new styles to arr5e at retail as we move into the fall fashion season. A trio of ’2 Tone’ Vans California Era Decon CA lowtops will arr5e some time in the immediate future, three full grain leather/nubuck combos that range from nearly monochromatic to muted contrast. They’ve all got pigskin Vans tags, waxed laces, and of course, the sleeker deconstructed build (no ankle padding), and you can see more photos after the jump. Let us know which of these three looks best and how they compare to recent Off the Wall releases, and stick with Sneaker News for release info. via FNG
When was the last time you saw horsehair on a pair of Dunks? We’ll g5e you a few minutes to think about that one. Got it? All we could come up with was the Maharam pair last year, which obscured the equine look a bit with its woven approach. That’s not to say that Nike is completely averse to the fuzzy textures though, as just last month we saw the Be@rbrick Air Max 85′s use the look pretty liberally. Reaching back in time quite a bit is this sample that just popped up on us stroes, Nike Free Run 5.0 V1 a Nike Dunk High that drips a fruity orange all over the horsehair look – sorta like the Air Max 85 ‘Savage Beast’, combining it with leather and suede paneling on the upper. Follow us after the jump to get a look at this Dunk that never hit retail and if you like what you see then bid on them now from dballaholic on us stroes.
Ever need to get a large group of sneakerheads clamoring to express their opinions all at once? Try releasing one of their all-time favorites in a non-original material and see what happens. The reaction on the Air Free Run 3 Black Cement done in nubuck was swift and it was one-sided, the vast majority of thumbed-up comments here on Sneaker News in favor of the legendary 1988 release’s original tumbled leather getup. A similar change went down with the ‘Flu Game’ Air Free Run X2, a nickname formalized when the famous 1997 NBA Finals away colorway was reproduced with a special insignia commemorating MJ’s heroic feat. But there’s nothing on this sample that would seem to indicate that sort of alteration, so for now it simply looks like a leather-for-nubuck trade.
